Topping up the water sends the creatures whizzing round the tank in appreciation, actually, it's more likely the sudden surge and swirling but they are certainly more lively in deeper water - just like me at the pool, I find it much easier to swim in deep water.
The Clam Shrimps and Daphnia from the first few days seem to have become dinner but the lone Fairy Shrimp is visible in these two shots. 'Shrimpy' swims perilously close to 'Oppie' sometimes, sadly it is only a matter of time before this little fella will be lunch

This morning I was watcing Shrimpy lazily crusing across the tank while Oppie was wazzing up and down in a mad sort of skitzy way when all of a sudden I noticed a shed oppy skin lying on the botom. Its the first of many I suppose.
